Suggestions

I finished my latest piece last night. I was pretty excited about her. What I'm not excited about? The fact that I have no camera. It broke a couple of days ago. So now, I have to wait to list her :( Does anybody have any suggestions on a new camera? What do you use? I'll probably go and get one this weekend so I need to do my homework. Thanks :)

The countdown begins

Well, I had the best of intentions today. They got foiled and replaced by a day at an amusement park with my family. So I am finally curing my latest piece, as I type this. Looks like I will be working well into the night if I want to hit my Tuesday deadline. Does anybody else get a little frightened when curing a sculpt? It's almost as if I am a protective mother who doesn't want any harm to come to the fine details of my little ones :) 

On another note, I was driving down my street today with my little guy ( he is three ) And we saw our neighbors are already decorating for Halloween. Now, if it were up to me, I'd decorate for Halloween every day of the year. But hubby frowns upon that idea >:( But I figure if someone else is already getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year, why can't I? So, tomorrow we are getting out the bones and the spiders and the ghosts and our creepy 6 foot motion sensor butler who frighteningly offers candy, out of our dusty old 'Halloween decorations' box and we're going to have a ball! Anyone else stoked for Halloween?

Welcome back, old friend

Wow, has it really been six months since I last blogged? Now, before you label me a slacker you need to hear my side of the story.......o.k. so maybe I am a slacker :) But my slacking begins and ends with blogging. During this time away I have been on a creative roller coaster. I started out slow and ascending, creeping up languidly yet steadily. I began to gain some creative speed and momentum and finally I feel as though I have hit the top of my roller coaster. I feel the anticipation of what's ahead. I can see the course ahead of me...the twists, the turns, the ups and downs and the rocky yet thrilling ride that awaits me. So with the wind in my hair and the bugs in my teeth, I throw my arms wildly up in the air and let out an optimistic scream as I enjoy the ride.
